Brief EIA Process in Cambodia

After submitting the investment application to the Cambodia Development Council (CDC) for project approval, CDC examines the relevant document and assigns the project owner/investment company (PO/IC) to fulfill the legal obligation of EIA study if the project is expected to have environmental impacts.Then, the PO/IC has to apply for EIA study at the Ministry of Environment (MoE) in order to identify what level of impact assessments should be studied.
